I am a watercolor, pastel, and sumi-e artist who is inspired by the beauty of nature and animals, especially those creatures who make Oregon their home. I have a unique ability to capture the essence of the animal\u2019s \u201cmagik\u201d and the vibrant expressions of nature\u2019s beauty in my paintings. My talent as an artist is an inherent gift which I have honed through mindful practice throughout the years. Through the medium of watercolor, pencil, pastel,\u00a0 and sumi (ink), I have not only learned life lessons which have transformed me, but also transformed others through its expression.<\/p>\n
I have found that art, and especially watercolor and sumi-e, is much like life; it never turns out how you envisioned it; sometimes you get unexpected surprises that you will never be able to reproduce again and you mostly have no control, only ways to guide your path. You must learn patience and stay in the present or your colors will run together. Remember less is more. Don’t get stuck doing one thing but expand your techniques and evolve; and last but not least, sometimes mistakes are a blessing in disguise.<\/p>\n
