It wasn\u2019t always so.\u00a0 Laurie spent 23 years as a high school theatre instructor. \u201cWhen I retired,\u201d she explains, \u201cI was free to explore painting, which became my path to wholeness.\u201d\u00a0 Immersing herself in European art and history, something new emerged.<\/p>\n
To create her Watercolor Art Scarves, she begins with her watercolor paintings and uses “digital magic” to put it on to silk.<\/p>\n
The subtle overtones of Laurie\u2019s paintings tell her unique story while inviting us to explore ours.\u00a0 \u201cPicasso said painting is just another way of keeping a diary,\u201d Laurie tells us.\u00a0 Her spectacular watercolors share pages from her history that help us understand our own.\u00a0\u00a0 She has recently created a series of unique Art Scarves from her original paintings.<\/p>\n
